ABOUT JILL

Hey there! My photo career began in 2009, and has evolved a lot since.

It began with a point-and-shoot camera in high school, when I would roam around our farm and take abstract nature photos. It came as a meditation for me.

In college, I studied Multimedia Design and learned how to incorporate digital art, practiced mostly on self-portraits, since at that time, MySpace and Facebook were just hitting the scene. That grew into others wanting to take their photos for fun — and eventually led to professionally taking photos for others.

Studying journalistic photography abroad in Scotland and Ireland is also a huge highlight of my background. Those were some amazing views!

From weddings, seniors, and family pictures - I said “yes” to any form of photography. My experience with product photography took off while my passion for interiors grew. With time (and with two little boys) I realized I couldn’t do it all, so today I choose commercial product and interiors as my focuses.

Everyday I am finding new methods for improvement, and new clients that eventually feel more like friends. I feel grateful for doing what I do, and I look forward to what the future brings!
